Toxic Screen is often used to cut a site or another area of the map in half, giving your team an element of safety while repositioning.Communicate with your team, and if they need support then don't hesitate to give it from across the map. You can affect sites other than your own by firing over rooftops. The significant reach of Toxic Screen gives Viper a surprising amount of global map control.Wait until line of sight is fully blocked. Bear in mind that it takes a moment after activation before the Toxic Screen actually rises from the canisters, so don't immediately duck out of cover upon hitting the ability button. The line marker that appears on the minimap will adjust dynamically based on where you're pointing it, so you can use this to see exactly how far it will stretch and where it will land. Use the minimap to get the placement of your Toxic Screen just right.Just like Phoenix's Blaze, Toxic Screen works via line-of-sight with the ground - which means you can fire it into the air and over buildings to make it stretch far further than pointing and shooting at a wall. The line of Toxic Screen can stretch a surprisingly long distance - almost the full diameter of your audio circle on the minimap. Now let's discuss how we can use Viper's abilities in interesting and powerful ways to influence the map and the match at large. Fire to spray a chemical cloud in all directions around Viper, creating a large cloud that reduces the vision range and maximum health of players inside of it. This ability can be re-used more than once and can be picked up to be redeployed.Įquip a chemical sprayer. Re-use the ability to create a toxic gas cloud at the cost of fuel. Fire to throw the emitter that perpetually remains throughout the round. Poison Cloud | Purchasable | 1 charge | Costs 200c | Can retrieveĮquip a gas emitter. Fire to launch a canister that shatters upon hitting the floor, creating a lingering chemical zone that damages and slows enemies. Snake Bite | Purchasable | 2 charges | Costs 100c eachĮquip a chemical launcher. This ability can be re-used more than once. Re-use the ability to create a tall wall of toxic gas at the cost of fuel. Fire to deploy a long line of gas emitters. But our Valorant Viper guide is a great place to start, providing numerous practical tips for each of her four deadly abilities.īefore we get stuck into the detailed tips for each of Viper's abilities, let's make sure we're all clear on what these abilities actually do:Įquip a gas emitter launcher. From her focus on area control and damage-over-time to her reliance on fuel to power her abilities, there's a lot to wrap your head around if you want to master this particular agent. Only reason I care is bc I'm Viper main, and I obviously prefer my main to not look like my piece of shit 10th grade history teacher.Įdit: Add some craziness and glowing green to her eyes to match her twitchy fingers, and soften her nose and mouth a bit, as opposed to the 40+ year old sharp characteristics they have now.Viper sets herself apart from the other Valorant agents in a couple of ways. Hoping Riot makes Viper a little more attractive, and we know they can, cuz Akali, Jett, most females from LoL, etc. Bring that card back and remodel Viper to look like she does in that card. The card where she's wearing a lab coat holding a canister and no mask from beta was BEAUTIFUL. Regarding the animation, the ult intro is sick, the helmet winding back is dope, the hand crawling up the body to the neck is AMAZING, and then she takes off the n95 and I'm just like, "Ahh, this ain't Sabine, it's fucking Karen." Even Viper's splasharts are great. I don't ever like objectifying women or checking them out for a first impression, but I just hate looking at Viper's model's face. Her skinsuit is screaming "LOOK AT MY ASS," and her voicelines gives you goosebumps of "yikes" and "ooh la la," somehow at the same time. Viper is supposed to be kinda creepy, kinda weird, kinda crazy, and kinda scary, but ultimately, and above all else, sexy in her own weird way. I hate talking like this, but here goes, let me know if anyone agrees: I wish they didn't make her look so much like Fiora from LoL.
