![]() ![]() Henry has a baggage of problems that he simply must at very least acknowledge. But when evacuation order was given (remember that D in past refused to let Henry evacuate when he was freaked out) it suddenly became all real and she could not handle it, so she left. To perhaps dream a bit about different future where those problems do not exist anymore. who by abandoning his wife would eventually start hating himself and her because it would just make him the worse piece of shit everĪnd while they were only having the radio talks, in middle of nowhere, as far away from all those problems they both have, it was ok to ignore it.is a man who still loves his wife, whose mind is slowly dying out.who escaped from his life, just nearly ready to find her just so he can leave his past life behind. When I thought about it bit further, try to put myself in her boots the Henry from her POV is a guy As for the ending, I really hoped we can see Delilah. That is a thing fucking well done, it doesnt happen often. Second half of the game, I was on a tense note all the time, just seeing ghosts behind every rock and every corner. When at the end I was making my way to evac site, I was certain that some rock will fall under me, or I will slip, or some grizzley bear will eat me. When I was making my way for second time to the big tree, I mistook the sound of wind howling through bush for the same sound that I heard at lake before being knocked out so I carefully and slowly started exploring the area before realizing nothing is there. Its really immersive, I found myself using flashlights in night, not running and when I fe entered the camp I turned it off so I cannot be spotted from distance. The game just keeps throwing at your face a lot of red herrings, in order to create in you the feeling of paranoia. TL DR: The story isn't about the murder mystery, the story is about two people running away from their problems and finally needing to face them again. I think that is a good ending and there was not really anything to be added to that ending. ![]() ![]() The ending is about getting back to reality, facing their problems instead of running away from them. ![]() When they see weird things happening in the forest (aka the murder mystery part) Delilah and Henry over-dramatize the mystery and basically blow up the mystery to seek distraction in this murder mystery. The real story is about two people escaping their problems by isolating themselves from the world and their problems. But I think the story isn't about the murder mystery in my eyes that is merely a subplot. Now most people that are dissapointed with the ending think the story is about solving a murder mystery in the wood and I can see that you would be let down by the ending if you see the story from that perspective. The most important thing you have to understand to understand the ending is the story. I do not expect you to like the ending more after this I just want you to understand it. I feel like I have to post this since a lot of people feel dissapointed by the ending.
